Who We Are

The HCRFD is a Volunteer department consisting of 2 full
time staff, 22 Volunteer Firefighters, and
5 Junior Firefighters.

Our Mission

We will accomplish our mission through prevention, education, fire suppression, medical services, code enforcement, rescue skills, and other related emergency and non-emergency activities. We will actively participate in our community, serve as role models, and strive to effectively and efficiently utilize all of the necessary resources at our command to provide a product deemed excellent by our citizens.

Our Department is sensitive and responsive to neighborhood needs, and will strive to be an integral part of that neighborhood.

We will establish and maintain a relationship with other outside agencies, so as to be able to give or receive reciprocal support to accomplish an assigned mission.

The Howell County Rural Fire Department will cherish and uphold the principles that made America a great country.
  • Respect for our flag,

  • Respect for liberty under law,

  • Respect for others,

  • Respect for the American work ethic,

  • Respect for honorable public officials,
